Christmas Lights

We are decorating our house for Christmas and are putting lights across the roof. Some of the lights are missing. How will I know which color bulb to put in each socket?

To discover which bulbs are missing, I will look for a pattern.

A pattern will always repeat itself.

Look carefully at these bulbs and click on the right set to fill in the blanks to complete the pattern.

Patterns are all around us. Look how these children are sitting, find the pattern and place the children at the botton into the empty desks.

Mathematics is looking for the patterns in numbers. See if you can find this pattern and finish it.

This is a pattern of penny heads and tails. Look for the pattern. Using pennies, head and tails, make a different pattern and show your teacher.
