Addition facts are facts you should know by memory without counting.

Once you know these facts, you can add any numbers easily.

You can use an addition chart to practice the addition facts.

This is how the chart works.

What is 2 + 0?
Find the 2 on the top and the 0 on the side. The place where they meet is the red box. Since 2 + 0 = 2, a 2 is typed in the red box.

What is 1 + 2?
Find the 1 on the top and the 2 on the side. The green box is where these numbers meet. Since 1 + 2 = 3, a 3 is typed in the green box.

What is the addition fact for the purple box?
