Our sugar white sand and beautiful blue
waters have always attracted beach goers.
Whether enjoying the dunes in years past or
the dunes today, our sea oats and sand have
been pleasurable.
Whether enjoying a water craft ride in the
past or a personal water craft ride today, our
gulf, bays, and inlets have provided a source of
entertainment.
Swim wear has certainly changed through
the years although bathing beauties have long
been a common sight in our area.
In 1932, a shipping pass was dug from the
Gulf of Mexico into St. Andrew Bay forming
Shell Island and creating the jetties in St.
Andrew State Park.
